ASIANHOOPS.COM and the New York Rockits Athletes In Action are proud to be the hosts for the annual Chinatown Community Junior Basketball League (JBL) held each fall/winter season since 2011. Geared toward beginners and intermediate ballers (ages 9-14), our coaches teach the proper fundamentals and promote a fun, healthy environment. In addition to the JBL, ASIANHOOPS.COM also hosts the annual "WE TEACH THE GAME" basketball clinics during the spring. The 2014 session is set to begin in February and continues through April. Information on how to sign up will be posted soon. For those youth ballers with a little more competitive spirit, we invite you to try out and become a member of the New York Rockits and its Junior Rockits AAU travel teams. November 30, 2013 Junior Basketball League This Sunday, November 24th - Come down and show your support to this season's hardworking JBL'ers as they compete for the coveted Championship of the 3rd Annual Chinatown Community Junior Basketball League (JBL). Tip off time for the CHIP is 2pm. The Consolation game tips off at 1:20pm. M.S. 56 school located at 220 Henry Street. It's here - the 3rd Annual Chinatown Community Junior Basketball League (JBL) sponsored by MANHATTAN BRIDGE ORTHODONTICS. This year's JBL, tips off on October 11th at I.S. 131 School located at 100 Hester Street. Our league is for beginners or intermediate ballers (ages 9-14, grades 4-9) who want to improve their game. Coaches will teach the proper fundamentals in performing lay-ups, dribbling, passing and shooting. We will also help foster teamwork and communication through a variety of teaching methods including skill sessions, practices, and games. Ample playing time for each player will be stressed. This year's league wil see the participants divided into two divisions: College and NBA. The College division will comprise of rookie ballers and those still learning the fundamentals. The NBA division will feature ballers who have just a little more skill and those that are vastly improved. o 8 to 12 week season

CAPTURE CHAMPIONSHIP + BUT EVERYONE IS A WINNER
Team Tigers
captured the championship of the 1st Chinatown Community Junior
Basketball League but each player came out a winner as they got
a chance to play hoops and learn about the game, creating friendships
and making memories. League Director, Kevin Low summed it up by
saying:
"On behalf of the NY Rockits, thank you all for making the 2011 1st Chinatown Community Junior Basketball league a success! I hope everyone had a good time and learned some new things. It seems as if everyone saved their best performance for the last day as both games were extremely competitive. Congratulations to the Tigers for finishing the season in 1st place!

be the NBA but the kids in Chinatown Community Junior Basketball
League are getting ready for the league tip off which is two weeks
away with preseason scrimmages this week and next. With players
already placed onto teams, it will give players and coaches an
opportunity to see how much more practice time is needed. KEEP WORKING HARD!!!!
9/9/11 - LACE THEM UP. as community sponsor, Manhattan Bridge Orthodontics is proud to present the 1st Chinatown Community Junior Basketball League for kids ages 9-14 years of age. The league will offer beginners and intermediates interested in basketball the opportunity to improve their game and develop their teamwork and communication skills, which are essential in any team sport. League practices and games are held once a week on either Friday evenings 6-8pm, or Sundays afternoons 3-5pm at Middle School 56 located at 220 Henry Street. The 12 week league will provide a fun, healthy environment for everyone.
