1/13/12 - TIGERS CAPTURE CHAMPIONSHIP + BUT EVERYONE IS A WINNER
Team Tigers captured the championship of the 1st Chinatown Community Junior Basketball League but each player came out a winner as they got a chance to play hoops and learn about the game, creating friendships and making memories. League Director, Kevin Low summed it up by saying:

"On behalf of the NY Rockits, thank you all for making the 2011 1st Chinatown Community Junior Basketball league a success! I hope everyone had a good time and learned some new things. It seems as if everyone saved their best performance for the last day as both games were extremely competitive. Congratulations to the Tigers for finishing the season in 1st place!

I would like to thank our sponsor Kalvin Lee from Manhattan Bridge Orthodontics as well as our legion of volunteers and coaches: Quan, Liu, Lam, Kelly, Dennis, Kerry, Lucas, Kristin, Kyle, Terri, Karen, Ian, Billy."

A second season is definitely on the horizon. Stay tuned.

10/14 - LEAGUE TIPS OFF WITH PRESEASON SCRIMMAGES
It may not be the NBA but the kids in Chinatown Community Junior Basketball League are getting ready for the league tip off which is two weeks away with preseason scrimmages this week and next. With players already placed onto teams, it will give players and coaches an opportunity to see how much more practice time is needed. KEEP WORKING HARD!!!!

9/9/11 - LACE THEM UP. as community sponsor, Manhattan Bridge Orthodontics is proud to present the 1st Chinatown Community Junior Basketball League for kids ages 9-14 years of age. The league will offer beginners and intermediates interested in basketball the opportunity to improve their game and develop their teamwork and communication skills, which are essential in any team sport. League practices and games are held once a week on either Friday evenings 6-8pm, or Sundays afternoons 3-5pm at Middle School 56 located at 220 Henry Street.
